This page does not explain the event. It is a short list of the things that decide your score, so you finish ahead of everyone who has not read it. For what Bear Hunt is, the trap mechanics, the damage tiers and the reward tables, read the official guide about Bear Hunt first.
The short version: Bear Hunt scores rally damage, and as a joiner almost all of your contribution comes from one thing — your Slot 1 hero's first Expedition skill.
Rally Leader vs. Joiner
Do
- Start a rally only if your Town Center is 20+ — high rally capacity
- If leading: your full stats, gear, research, and all hero skills apply
- If joining: only your Slot 1 hero's first Expedition skill counts
- If joining: pick the strongest leader — your troops fight with their stats
Don't
- Don't expect Slot 2/3 heroes to contribute skills — troop capacity only
Hero Setup (Joiner)
Do
- Slot 1: Rita, Hyeri, Miko, or Sebastian — keep their Lethality/Attack skill maxed
- Slot 2-3: any heroes, troop capacity only
Don't
- Don't send Isabelle, Porter, Valky, Bane, Cyprus, Flint, Thora, Azad, or blue heroes as Slot 1
- Don't send a hero at all if none of the approved list are built — troops-only better than a wrong hero
Troop Formation (Leader)
Do
- Run roughly 10% Infantry / 10% Lancer / 80% Archer as a starting baseline
- Test your own ratio in the preview screen — hero synergy can shift the ideal split
Don't
- Don't go full Archer with zero Infantry — a wrong hero counts against you, and zero Infantry can too
Timing & Coordination
Do
- Split your troops and join 3 rallies rather than 1 — damage scales with the square root of troops sent
- Save your formation as a preset so you can one-tap join
- Join early — the game only counts the top 4 highest-level Slot 1 skills across all joiners
Don't
- Don't join a rally that already has 4 strong Slot-1 skills locked with a weaker one — it won't count
Common Mistakes
Do
- Confirm your Slot 1 hero's skill is actually leveled before every event
Don't
- Don't assume higher hero rarity helps — rarity color gives zero bonus points in this event
